Construction Project Engineer

Job Description Job Description The Project Engineer (PE) assists the Project Manager in planning, execution, delivery, close out and the overall success of a specific project from start through close-out. The PE works with the Project Manager (PM) and the Project Team to solicit and qualify bids, manage contract documents, track, and expedite material procurement, update the project schedule, ensure quality, and help manage the overall construction process. Requirements Degree in Construction Management or Engineering preferred or relevant experience 2+ yrs. of experience in Multi Family construction experience 2+ yrs. of Wood Frame construction building experience preferred 1+ yrs. of experience working on $25M+ projects Computer skills: proficiency using Word, Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Project What You’ll Do Assist the PM in the buyout of assigned trades. Develop detailed Scope of Work and Schedule of Values (SOV) for each assigned trade. Coordinate with design consultants for onsite inspections, box walks, punch list walks, etc. Monitor all materials test reports for compliance with standards and specifications. Prepare and manage the following RFI and Submittal logs. Assist with preparation of final punch lists for all subcontractors and ensure all items are completed prior to release of retainage payment.
