Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse delivers coordinated nursing care for patients based on established standards of care and the nursing process. This role involves supervising and directing the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff, and coordinating care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking, professional discretion, and independent judgment.

Education and Work Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN): Preferred
• Experience in an acute care facility: Preferred

Licenses/Certifications:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice: Required
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor: Required
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from an approved vendor: Required

Essential Functions:

• Collects relevant data pertinent to the patient's health or situation.
• Analyzes assessment data to determine diagnoses and care issues.
• Develops a care plan that prescribes interventions to attain desired outcomes.
• Implements the care plan, coordinates care delivery, and promotes a safe environment.
• Evaluates progress toward achieving outcomes.
• Identifies outcomes for the patient and their situation.
• Collaborates with patients, families, and healthcare providers to deliver safe, humane, and effective care.
• Provides educational opportunities for patients and their families, as well as team members.
• Participates in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care.
• Delegates duties appropriately and coordinates responsibilities among healthcare team members.
• Performs additional job-related duties as assigned.

Organizational Requirements:

All associates must receive required vaccinations as a condition of employment, with medical and religious exemptions applicable. Compliance with organizational health and safety protocols is essential.
