Elevate your nursing expertise in a high‑acuity cardiac setting, providing vital support in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR). This contract opportunity places you in an advanced surgical environment dedicated to open heart procedures within a dynamic, multidisciplinary operating team. Schedule / Hours Day shift: 7:00am – 3:00pm, with on‑call requirements after 3:00pm and during weekends Holiday and after‑hours call assistance required Qualifications & Experience Current, unrestricted RN license Minimum recent experience in Open Heart surgeries and the cardiothoracic service line (candidates without this background will not be considered) BLS and ACLS certifications (required) Experience in other surgical service lines (trauma, general, gynecologic, urologic, orthopedic, neurosurgical, plastics) is highly valued and prioritized Familiarity with standard OR equipment and Meditech EMR preferred Strong dependability and adaptability in fast‑paced settings Role Responsibilities Circulate and assist in advanced open heart cases and other cardiothoracic procedures, including CABG (with and without EVH), impellas, pericardial windows, valve replacements, and ECMO Deliver patient‑centered care with a strict 1:1 RN‑to‑patient ratio Float to other ORs as needed when open heart procedures are not scheduled Collaborate with RNs and technicians to ensure seamless surgical and perioperative operations Adhere to unit‑specific guidelines, navy blue scrub attire, and all hospital protocols Demonstrate flexibility with scheduling, supporting call coverage for nights, weekends, and holidays as designated This position offers the chance to work with a specialized team on the forefront of cardiac surgical care and provides invaluable exposure to a variety of surgical procedures in a busy, cutting‑edge environment. #J-18808-Ljbffr Sunbelt Staffing
