Job Summary: Gotion Inc., a leading innovator in battery cell manufacturing, is seeking an experienced and results-oriented Cell Production Manager to oversee our production operations in Manteno, IL. The ideal candidate will leverage their expertise in manufacturing production management to drive operational excellence, ensure product quality, and achieve production goals. This role requires strong leadership, technical knowledge, and a commitment to safety and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Production & Shop-floor Management:

• Develop and implement production plans to meet deadlines and production targets.
• Monitor and manage production progress, quality metrics, and costs to improve overall efficiency.
• Implement and maintain 5S standards and Visual Management systems to ensure a clean, organized, and transparent work environment.
• Conduct daily Gemba walks to identify and resolve floor-level bottlenecks in real-time.
• Optimize workflows through lean manufacturing practices and reduce production waste.

Equipment and Process Oversight:

• Oversee the maintenance and operation of production equipment to ensure consistent performance.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and implement smart manufacturing techniques where applicable.

Team Leadership:

• Build, train, and manage a high-performing production team.
• Evaluate team performance regularly and foster a collaborative work environment.
• Manage labor relations and conflict resolution effectively within a diverse workforce

Collaboration and Coordination:

• Collaborate with R&D, Quality, and Procurement teams to support new product launches and stabilize production processes.
• Ensure compliance with ISO9001, ISO14001, and other quality management standards.

Safety and Reporting:

• Enforce safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
• Prepare detailed production reports, analyze data, and provide actionable insights to management.

Qualifications:

Education & Background:

• Bachelor's degree or above in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation, or related fields.

Work Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing production management.
• At least 3 years in a managerial role, preferably in large-scale production environments.
• Hands-on experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies is preferred.

Technical Skills:

• Comprehensive understanding of manufacturing processes, production techniques, and equipment management.
• Strong capabilities in production planning, cost control, quality assurance, and efficiency improvement.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and production management software (e.g., SAP, MES)

Soft Skills:

• Exceptional leadership, communication, and team management abilities.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
• High level of responsibility and resilience in a fast-paced environment.
• Resilience and the ability to lead a team through high-pressure production ramps and process stabilization.

The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $100,000.00 - $150,000.00, plus eligibility for bonus and benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by factors such as the role, level, and geographic location. Actual compensation within the range will be influenced by the specific work location, along with factors such as job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
