Financial Fitness, PLLC is a professional accounting firm based in Goodyear, Arizona, serving individuals and small businesses with expert tax preparation, bookkeeping, and financial advisory services. Our mission is to make accounting accessible, accurate, and empowering — giving our clients the confidence to make smart financial decisions.
Position Summary
We are seeking a Dedicated Accountant to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities during both tax season and the off-season. This position includes client-facing responsibilities, tax return preparation, bookkeeping, and ongoing support for our accounting operations.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and file individual and business tax returns (Form 1040, 1120S, 1065, etc.)
- Perform bookkeeping and financial reconciliations in QuickBooks
- Manage billing, invoicing, and accounts receivable
- Communicate with clients through Verifyle, email, phone, and virtual meetings
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with tax regulations
- Support internal accounting processes and assist with special projects as assigned
Schedule
- Off-Season: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday – 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
- Tax Season: Monday to Friday – 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (overtime as needed)
- Hybrid work flexibility available
Compensation & Benefits
- $40/hour , paid weekly
- $50 per paycheck health stipend
- $25/month cell phone stipend
- $25/month automobile stipend
- 401(k) plan participation
- Paid vacation, sick time, and holidays per Arizona law and company policy
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or tax preparation
- Proficiency with QuickBooks , Excel, and tax software (e.g., Drake, Lacerte, ProSeries or Tax Wise )
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- CPA or EA license preferred, but not required
