Job title: Personal Trainer
Position: Part-time, hourly and session-based compensation
Reports to: Club Manager and Regional PT Director
Help Retro Fitness members build strength, confidence, and consistent exercise habits through safe, individualized coaching. You will deliver personal training sessions, build client relationships, and grow your client base through consultations, follow-up, and referrals.
What you will ownIndividual coaching. Conduct consultations and fitness assessments within your qualifications. Design individualized programs, demonstrate proper technique, and adjust exercises and progression to each client.
Safe service delivery. Monitor clients during sessions, follow club safety procedures, and stay within your professional scope. Recognize when a concern requires referral or escalation.
Client progress and retention. Set goals, document programming and progress, and follow up on attendance. Build supportive relationships that encourage consistency and appropriate renewals.
Business development. Participate in Welcome Workouts, member conversations, referrals, and approved outreach. Present training options and approved products professionally and work toward assigned sales and service goals.
Scheduling and records. Maintain accurate availability, session records, and timekeeping. Follow company rules for agreements and session redemption. Attend paid training and meetings and participate in Team Clean duties.
What we are looking for- An approved NCCA-accredited personal training certification or a relevant degree accepted under company policy. Confirm accepted credentials before hire.
- Current CPR/AED certification, maintained throughout employment. Completion of the company PT New Hire Course within 30 days.
- Knowledge of exercise technique, program design, progression, and client communication. Prior training experience preferred; newly qualified candidates are welcome to apply.
- Ability to demonstrate exercises, spot clients, and assist with equipment, with reasonable accommodation as applicable. Basic computer and scheduling skills.
Client appointments may include early mornings, evenings, and weekends. Maintain accurate availability and arrive ready for each session. Position status: [full-time or part-time]. Required appointment windows: [insert days and hours].
CompensationNon-session hourly pay: [insert approved range]. The supplied Texas plan provides session compensation tiers of 30%–60% based on revenue serviced, plus 10% dotFIT sales commission.
