Senior Accountant

Vaco is seeking a Senior Accountant in Phoenix, Arizona! What stands out about this role? High-visibility accounting position with direct exposure to Accounting & Finance leadership and executive teams Opportunity to own key accounting functions including fixed assets, lease accounting, commissions, bonus accruals, and close activities Responsibilities include: Manage and maintain the fixed asset subledger Administer lease accounting in compliance with ASC 842 Calculate and record commission and bonus accruals Prepare and post monthly journal entries Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes Perform balance sheet reconciliations and account analyses Support internal and external audit requests Identify and implement process improvements and internal control enhancements Partner with accounting leadership on special projects and other accounting initiatives Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Required) 3-5+ years of progressive accounting experience (Required) Public accounting experience strongly preferred Experience with fixed asset accounting (Required) Experience with lease accounting/ASC 842 (Required) Experience performing balance sheet reconciliations Experience calculating commissions and bonus accruals preferred Ability to work onsite 5 days per week in Phoenix (Required) Salary $90-110k + Bonus Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
