Direct Support Professional

- # Description**Job description:*****Key Responsibilities**** Assisting individuals with their personal care- bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting/personal hygiene* Daily tasks include light housekeeping, laundry, and keeping the home comfortable and safe* Plan meals, shopping for groceries, preparing and serving meals/snacks* Accompany individuals to scheduled medical appointments* Accompany individuals on fun community activities (movies, swimming, bowling, trips to the beach, shopping at the mall, etc.)* Assist individuals with self-administration of medications* Document services provided using computer***Benefits**** $20.50/hour* Know your schedule for the month-easy to plan work/life balance* PT Day shift 18-24 hours/week* FT Day shift 24-32 hrs/week* Work a 2 day on/2day off/every other weekend shift* We pay for your training and pay you will you are getting trained* Medical/Dental/Vision/HSA/life insurance benefits after 60 days (must work avg of 30 hours/week)* 401K with matching after 1 year if benefit eligible* Opportunities for advancement (Lead DSP, Supervisor, House Manager)* Employee bonuses, events for our employees include picnics and parties, Backpack for School, Trunk or Treat, gift cards, etc.**Great opportunity beginning your career path with excellent training!**## Qualifications**Requirements:*** Be at least 18 Years or older* Be able to pass a Washington State Criminal Background Check and complete fingerprints by hire date* Be able to provide high school diploma or high school transcript or GED* Be able to lift up to 50 lbs, twist, turn, sit, stand for periods of time, see and hear our individuals* Have excellent written and verbal communication skills* Have basic computer skills* Have good problem solving skills working as a team
