Registered Nurse, Diagnostic Imagining ,Full Time Day

Position Summary To fulfill the needs of Diagnostic Imaging patients in a variety of age groups, their family members, and the community by performing varied patient care tasks and functions in accordance with licensure, certification, training, and regulatory requirements. Education & Qualifications Bachelor`s degree in Nursing required. Current/valid State of New Jersey license (or legal permission to work from the New Jersey Board of Nursing). Completion of general nursing orientation, CPR, ACLS and PALS certification, and unit based orientation. Computer and keyboard skills. Medical terminology required. Cat Scan and MRI experience preferred but unit based training will be provided to qualified candidates. Schedule Five (5) eight‑hour shifts with staggered start times ranging from 7:00 a.m. through 9:30 a.m. Required to work every third weekend. One holiday a year. On a rotation list to cover the overnight shift if needed. Physical & Cognitive Requirements Position’s physical requirements necessitate a full range of body motion including, but not limited to, physically assisting patients, requiring stretching, bending, lifting, sitting, kneeling, stooping, standing, walking, pushing and pulling. The position is classified according to the USDOL as Very Heavy Work, defined as exerting in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or in excess of 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or in excess of 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. The National Institute of Safety and Health (NIOSH) guidelines, which recommend that the average worker not lift more than 51 pounds without assistance, will be followed. Manual and finger dexterity and hand‑eye coordination are also required. Constant talking and listening in English is required. The candidate must demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills, including speech clarity, understanding the information relayed, deductive and inductive reasoning skills, and the ability to apply general rules to specific problems to produce sensible answers and combine pieces of information to derive conclusions. Considerable walking, standing, sitting, reaching, filing, typing, and photocopying are required. The candidate must be able to perform work accurately, pay attention to details, often change between tasks without loss of efficiency or composure, function competently in stressful situations, and adapt to a changing work environment related to changing needs of patients with acute, chronic, complex or terminal disease processes. They must also work cooperatively within a multidisciplinary health system team (MDs, Rehab, Respiratory, DI, Laboratory, etc.) and utilize effective time management skills to set priorities, problem‑solve and deliver care.
