This role provides strategic leadership in QA practices while overseeing the work of QA engineers and ensuring consistent quality standards are applied through all stages of the software development lifecycle. The QA Manager works closely with product, engineering, and leadership stakeholders to define and drive a culture of quality across the organization.Position ResponsibilitiesDefine, implement, and manage the overall quality strategy, including automation, manual testing, and continuous quality improvement initiativesLead, mentor, and manage a team of QA engineers across multiple Scrum teams, ensuring consistent execution and deliveryCollaborate with Engineering and Product leadership to align testing priorities with business goalsOversee the design, development, and maintenance of scalable and reliable test automation frameworks and CI/CD integrationsEstablish and monitor quality metrics and KPIs to report on testing effectiveness and product health to leadershipChampion testing best practices, including shift-left testing, test-driven development, and robust exploratory testingIdentify gaps in coverage, tooling, or process and proactively implement solutionsConduct regular code and test reviews, ensuring high standards and alignment with QA practicesDrive initiatives for test data management, performance testing, and environment stabilityMaintain compliance with industry standards, internal controls, and regulatory requirementsParticipate in Agile ceremonies and cross-departmental planning as a senior technical stakeholderMinimum Qualifications7+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with at least 2 years in a QA leadership or management roleStrong background in the healthcare, pharmacy benefit management (PBM), or health insurance industriesProven success in building and scaling test automation strategies across large or complex applicationsDemonstrated experience with front-end automation tools (e.g., Playwright, Cypress) and scripting in Python, JavaScript, or TypeScriptHands-on experience with middleware/API testing, SQL, and Linux/Unix systemsDeep knowledge of CI/CD tools and integration of testing frameworks into deployment pipelinesExcellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, including the ability to influence at all levelsExperience managing geographically distributed teams and remote-first collaboration(Optional) Preferred QualificationsPrevious experience in pharmacy benefits, health plans, or PBM/PBA environmentsProficiency with AWS and DevOps pipelines, including environment validation and infrastructure testingFamiliarity with RDBMS (PostgreSQL preferred)Prior involvement in compliance, audit, or regulated environment testingThis position description is designed to be flexible, allowing management the opportunity to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities as needed to best meet organizational goals.Judi Health values a diverse workplace and celebrates the diversity that each employee brings to the table.
