Substitute Teacher/Paraprofessional 2026-27 JobID: 1619 Position Type: Substitute / Substitute Teacher Date Posted: 6/25/2026 Location: Central School District 51 Title Substitute Teacher/Paraprofessional Rate $130/day for substitute teachers and $120/day for substitute paraprofessionals (aides) Qualifications Valid and appropriate Illinois licensure (PEL, SUB, STS, or ELS/PARA w/ B.S. degree). License registered with the Regional Office of Education - 53. Successful completion of fingerprint based criminal background check (IL State Police and FBI), Sex Offender and Violent Youth Offender screening. Successful completion of a physical exam. If you do not currently hold a substitute teaching license but would like to apply for one, please contact the Regional Office of Education in East Peoria. Required Documents The original approval letter from the ROE along with the criminal history reports from the Illinois State Police and FBI (to be completed at the ROE). A copy of the Statement of Physical Fitness from a physician. Copies of college transcripts. Appropriate forms of identification as required for the I-9 - Employment Eligibility Verification form (ex. Passport or Driver's License and Social Security Card).
