Senior Full Stack Engineer

Salary: $150,000 - 200,000 per year Requirements:

• We are looking for strong Python experience and solid hands-on expertise with Django and Django REST Framework, including models, migrations, serializers, views, and authentication.
• We need depth with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, including schema design, query performance, and ideally row-level isolation and JSONB or array usage for a multi-tenant application.
• We want experience with a modern web frontend framework such as React, Vue, or Svelte, along with TypeScript, and the ability to build data-rich interfaces like tables, forms, dashboards, and charts.
• We are looking for comfort working with cloud infrastructure on a major provider, including object storage, managed databases, managed auth, and secrets management.
• We value contract-driven development using OpenAPI and JSON-Schema definitions, with additive-only, versioned API discipline.
• We need a security-first mindset, including multi-tenant isolation, least privilege, authentication token handling, and keeping identifying data out of logs and stored objects.
• We expect AI-assisted development to be part of the workflow, with familiarity using tools such as Claude Code, Codex, or Cursor.
• It is a plus if you have experience with DICOM, PACS, or other web-based medical imaging tools such as OHIF, Cornerstone3D, or DICOMweb.
• It is a plus if you have experience with infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD, as this role will initially include some DevOps responsibilities.
• It is a plus if you have worked with sensitive health data and privacy or regulatory architecture, including audit logging and field encryption.
• It is a plus if you have experience building event-driven or queue-based backends for job dispatch and alerting.
• It is a plus if you have strengths in data visualization for longitudinal or time-series metrics and have good product or UX judgment.

• We own the platform end to end, including the backend API and data model as well as the web frontend used by clinicians and team staff.
• We build the greenfield backend in Django and Django REST Framework, backed by a relational database and cloud object storage.
• We design and enforce strict multi-tenancy, with tenant-based keys, row-level isolation, and service-layer ownership checks to prevent cross-team access.
• We implement the device upload workflow, including upload-intent generation with presigned URLs and a completion step that verifies uploaded objects, clip handling, and sampling-stream routing.
• We validate tokens from a managed auth provider for both web users and the device upload path, supporting team, clinician, and admin roles with invite-only access and MFA for sensitive data.
• We persist the platforms canonical annotation, measurement, and report records, expose read APIs for the frontend, dispatch analysis jobs to machine learning services, ingest their results, and trigger alerts for new images and results.
• We build privacy-ready foundations such as a separate identifier store, a single audit chokepoint, organization-based keying, and encryption or TLS throughout.
• We export de-identified images and labels to the model factory.
• We build the web frontend from the ground up, helping choose the frontend architecture and information design rather than implementing a fixed spec.
• We create roster and player management tools, player profiles, longitudinal analytics, trend charts, and a Team Command Center dashboard.
• We shape the frontend UX and UI so clinicians and team staff can review images, annotate findings, and move quickly through reporting workflows.
• We embed a web-based medical image viewer for ultrasound review and annotation, with DICOM interoperability including DICOMweb and PNG-to-DICOM conversion.
• We build org-admin and super-admin provisioning and settings interfaces.
• We help make architectural and technology choices in a fast-paced environment while reporting directly to the CTO.
