Senior Software Engineer - Lab Integration

Salary: $160,650 - 217,350 per year Requirements:

• We require an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance, with clearance considered active if it has been active within the past 24 months.
• We require a bachelors degree or equivalent.
• We require 9+ years of relevant professional experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• We require experience with Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD environments.
• We require experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, as well as containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• We require familiarity with CI/CD tooling such as GitLab, Azure DevOps, and Jenkins.
• We require experience using scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash to automate tasks, move data between systems, and improve reliability.
• We require experience leading people and complex projects.
• We prefer a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science, along with 9+ years of related experience; or a bachelors degree plus 13+ years of directly related experience; or 17+ years of related, relevant experience.
• We prefer extensive experience with observability platforms such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, and CloudWatch.
• We prefer advanced experience architecting, deploying, and maintaining production-grade Kubernetes clusters such as EKS and AKS.
• We prefer strong knowledge of DevSecOps security frameworks and cloud security best practices.
• We prefer deep expertise in provisioning and leading complex lab/test environments on-premises and in public cloud environments such as Azure and AWS.
• We prefer excellent problem-solving ability, sound technical judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• We prefer effective communication skills and experience liaising among technical teams, leadership, and external customers.
• We prefer certifications such as Certified Kubernetes Administrator, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, or Azure DevOps Engineer Expert.
• We prefer experience leading GitOps workflows and tools such as Argo CD and Flux.
• We prefer knowledge of secrets management solutions such as HashiCorp Vault and Azure Key Vault.
• We prefer familiarity with service mesh technologies such as Istio and Linkerd.
• We prefer a demonstrated track record of mentoring engineers and leading technical initiatives.

• We will architect, provision, and optimize complex lab and test environments across on-premises and cloud platforms using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
• We will define and standardize best practices for advanced lab environment operations.
• We will lead the design and ongoing improvement of enterprise-wide automated integration testing workflows across multiple program segments.
• We will deliver data-driven feedback and help resolve cross-segment integration issues quickly.
• We will drive innovation in deployment methods and pipelines for physical and virtual systems.
• We will ensure deployment processes are scalable, secure, repeatable, and aligned with long-term organizational goals.
• We will build and maintain advanced processes for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting performance, stability, and integration data.
• We will provide strategic recommendations that support business objectives.
• We will serve as a technical leader and trusted resource for engineering teams.
• We will mentor and guide engineers, reinforce engineering rigor, and encourage knowledge sharing.
• We will lead integration of security principles and promote compliance with standards such as CIS, NIST, SOC 2, and FedRAMP.
• We will encourage adoption of security tools and standards across DevSecOps practices.
• We will act as a technical liaison with internal teams, senior leaders, and external partners on complex technical matters.
