Project Controls Specialist
$45 - $50 per hourAkkodis
Akkodis is seeking a Project Controls Specialist for a Contract job with a client in Lexington, KY . The ideal candidate must have strong handson experience with project controls, scheduling, cost tracking, and forecasting, with exposure to tools like Primavera P6, and the ability to support engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) projects.
Rate Range: $45/hour to $50/hour ; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. Project Controls Specialist job responsibilities include:- Lead project controls processes, including planning, scheduling, cost tracking, and forecasting for multiple projects.
- Develop and maintain Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), project schedules, cost reports, and cash flow models.
- Utilize Enterprise Planning & Controls software (Primavera P6 preferred) to analyze data, manage logs, and generate reports.
- Monitor and evaluate project performance, including critical path analysis, earned value management, and resource loading.
- Review and manage change orders, purchase orders, and subcontract documentation for proper coding and compliance.
- Perform schedule and cost analysis, including "what-if" scenarios, forecasting, and progress tracking.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience in project controls, scheduling, or cost management within EPC or construction environments.
- Experience with Oracle Primavera P6 (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of project scheduling techniques (CPM), cost forecasting, and earned value management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong analytical, problemsolving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- OSHA 10-hour certification (or ability to obtain).
Pay Details: $45.00 to $50.00 per hour
