Psychiatrist, MD/DO (Transcranial magnetic stimulation)

Job Summary Job Summary: Department of Behavioral Health at Essen has immediate opening for part‑time (16 hours a week) TMS Psychiatrist responsible for providing direct patient care in outpatient and nursing home facilities. Opportunity to collaborate with multidisciplinary team at Essen. This role will work with the Behavioral Health Team to provide compassionate, patient‑centered, evidence‑based psychiatric care. Responsibilities Conduct initial psychiatric evaluations for patients being considered for Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) and determine clinical eligibility for treatment. Educate patients on TMS treatment, including the procedure, expected outcomes, potential risks, and treatment expectations during the initial evaluation process. Monitor patient progress and response throughout the course of treatment, collaborating closely with the patient’s primary psychiatric provider to ensure continuity of care. Partner with TMS technicians and interdisciplinary care teams to support safe, effective, and patient‑centered treatment delivery. Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR). Ensure adherence to established clinical protocols, safety standards, and all applicable regulatory guidelines. Participate in required TMS training and certification, with company‑sponsored training provided to ensure competency and certification in TMS treatment delivery. Qualifications Job Requirements: Doctoral Degree in clinical or counseling psychiatry. Current NYS registration as a Psychiatrist. Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus but not required. Must be able to work 16 hours a week. Salary may reflect bonuses & incentives.
