Assistant Project Manager-Commercial Construction

Assistant Project Manager – Washington DC Area Seeking an Assistant Project Manager for large commercial projects ($20M+), including healthcare, libraries, schools, and multifamily, in the Washington DC area. All local work. Job Details Salary: $70,000 – $85,000 per year. What You’ll Do Coordinate project activities to ensure costs, schedules, document control, and quality standards are met. Assist the Project Manager and Superintendents in construction planning, scheduling equipment deliveries, and facilitation of document distribution. Serve as liaison between project team members and the community, promoting the interests of the firm and clients. Provide technical expertise on cost estimates, negotiate contracts, change orders, and establish project objectives. Work efficiently in a fast‑paced, multi‑task environment with multiple project relationships and competing priorities. What You Bring To The Table Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction, design, architecture, engineering, or a related field. Proficiency in PlanGrid, Procore, and Sage 300 Timberline. Excellent organization and attention to detail. Strong command of Excel and other Microsoft Office programs. Proactive communication skills (written, phone, in person). Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, subcontractors, vendors, architects, designers, and the community. Some travel may be required depending on business needs.
