Manufacturing Lead, IgG Production
Twist Bioscience
Manufacturing Lead responsible for producing gene products and IgG through Twist Bioscience's proprietary workflow. The role involves supervising shift associates, operating laboratory equipment, troubleshooting processes, and ensuring production timelines are met in a fast-paced biotech environment.
Responsibilities
- Guide manufacturing associates and supervise daily floor operations during assigned shifts
- Operate laboratory equipment including Hamilton Stars robots, centrifuges, and sequencers for gene production
- Troubleshoot manufacturing process and equipment issues; take operational responsibility when supervisor unavailable
- Maintain detailed batch records and manufacturing documentation according to standard operating procedures
- Train new laboratory manufacturing associates on processes and equipment
Requirements
- Experience with laboratory equipment operation including liquid handling robots and molecular biology instruments
- Proficiency in molecular biology techniques such as PCR, DNA quantitation, purification, and cloning
- Demonstrated ability to supervise and train manufacturing associates
- Strong documentation and record-keeping skills in regulated manufacturing environments
- Experience troubleshooting manufacturing processes and instrumentation
- Ability to work alternating shift schedule: 7:00 AM–7:30 PM Wednesday, Thursday–Saturday
