Job Duties

Part-Time | 20–25 hours per week | $13–$16/hour, depending on experience

Harmony Food Co-op is looking for a Produce Associate to join our team!

We’re looking primarily for someone who can work afternoon and evening shifts, generally around 2:00–8:30 p.m., with some flexibility in start time. We know life happens—and we’re happy to work with the right person’s schedule, including students who may not be available until later in the afternoon. Weekend availability is also important, with opportunities to work either our opening shift (7:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m.) or closing shift (2:00–8:30 p.m.).

What You'll Do:

Produce Associates help keep one of the most visible and vibrant departments in the store looking its best. You’ll:

• Stock and rotate fresh produce with care and attention to quality

• Keep displays full, clean, organized, and inviting

• Check produce for freshness and remove items that don’t meet our standards

• Help receive, unload, and put away deliveries

• Assist customers with questions and product recommendations

• Maintain a clean and safe work area

• Help with department cleaning and other daily tasks

• Work as part of a team to make sure our Produce Department runs smoothly

What We're Looking For:

Produce experience is not required! We can teach you the products, procedures, and skills you need to succeed.

• Are dependable and willing to pitch in wherever you're needed

• Can work efficiently while maintaining quality

• Are comfortable being on your feet and doing physical work throughout your shift

• Can work independently while also being a good teammate

If you already have grocery or produce experience, that's great. If you don't, that's okay, too. We're much more interested in finding someone who is dependable, curious, hardworking, and cares about doing good work. The rest can be learned.
