Warehouse Manager

The ideal candidate will provide direct support, supervision, and coordination to the warehouse & moving crews to ensure the overall success of the operation.ResponsibilitiesManage warehouse and moving crews by training, setting expectations, monitoring performance, providing feedback, development and progressive disciplineManage and control condition and security of inventory including proper storage, handling, disposal, transfer, cleaning and repairInspects physical condition of warehouse and inventoryManage warehouse organization and special projectsManage productivity and performance of each team memberEnsure cleanliness, maintenance and security of the warehouseEnsure that safety standards are adhered to in all areas of the warehouseProvide necessary training on basic furniture handling, furniture repair, installation procedures and safety (OSHA, DOT, and safety meetings)Schedules jobs with sales and clientsWork with the Director of Operations to control labor, inventory, and supply costsComply with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements by following company policies and procedures; enforce adherence to requirements by reporting as appropriate; advising management on needed actionsMaintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and training as requiredProvide consistent top-level customer serviceExemplify the Company values.Perform other duties as assignedQualificationsBachelor's Degree or equivalent work experienceFleet management and DOT regulations experience a mustA minimum of 5 years' of experience managing a warehouseAbility to communicate clearly with all levels of personnel and clientsMust have a proven service oriented attitudeMust be organized and detailedAbility to problem solve in a fast paced environmentMust be able to work independentlyProficient in Microsoft Office products (Excel and Word)Meridith Baer is committed to equal employment opportunity regardless of race, color, ancestry, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital status, disability, gender identity or Veteran status. #J-18808-Ljbffr
