Electrician

Ready to solve complex power problems in the field? You will Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair electrical systems on-site: LV/MV switchgear, circuit breakers, transformers, and PLC controls. Run tests, interpret results, and perform corrective actions to minimize downtime. Commission new or upgraded systems and validate performance to spec. Be the customer’s primary technical contact during visits; explain findings clearly, provide basic training, and capture feedback. Document activities thoroughly—time, materials, test reports—using field service tools and ERP. Use remote diagnostic tools when feasible to resolve or triage issues faster. Work safely—always—aligned to OSHA and company protocols; keep safety training current. You bring High school diploma or equivalent (required); associate’s in electrical engineering or related field (preferred). 3–5 years of field experience on power systems, electrical equipment, or industrial controls, including transformer and breaker troubleshooting. Diagnostic mindset, strong problem-solving, and customer-friendly communication. Comfort with field service management software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Excel/Word. Ability to work independently and juggle priorities in fast-paced settings. Plus points: LV/MV exposure; foundational PLCs, SCADA, and protective relay knowledge; NFPA 70E, OSHA 30, or similar certifications. Where you’ll go Regional office: Sterling, VA. Daily/weekly regional travel to customer sites and internal field service locations. Occasional nationwide trips; overnights as needed. Must-haves Valid driver’s license and clean driving record. Commitment to safety and customer satisfaction. Hands-on with multimeters, breaker test sets, and similar test gear.
