Location: Greensboro, NC (HQ) Position Type: Full-Time About Us At Happy Days Logistics , we don’t just move freight — we move progress, trust, and relationships. From nursery plants and Christmas trees to aggregates, construction materials, and general freight, we provide safe, dependable, and people-first logistics solutions across the Eastern U.S. Our growing team values positivity, professionalism, and problem-solving. As a dispatcher, you’ll be the heartbeat of operations — connecting drivers, customers, and freight agents to keep loads rolling smoothly. Key Responsibilities Driver & Load Coordination Assign loads to company drivers and independent owner-operators. Ensure routes are optimized for efficiency, safety, and timeliness. Monitor driver hours, DOT compliance, and load progress. Customer & Carrier Communication Act as the single point of contact for customers on active loads. Provide timely updates and resolve issues quickly. Coordinate with freight agents to match loads to available equipment. Problem-Solving & Compliance Troubleshoot delays, equipment breakdowns, or routing challenges. Ensure drivers follow weight, load securement, and legal requirements. Document all communications, updates, and incidents accurately. Technology & Reporting Use TMS (Transportation Management System) and dispatch software to track loads. Maintain accurate load boards and driver schedules. Report KPIs to management (on-time %, empty miles, driver utilization). Qualifications 2+ years of experience in dispatching, logistics coordination, or fleet operations (trucking industry preferred). Strong communication skills — both with drivers and customers. Ability to work under pressure and solve problems in real time. Knowledge of DOT regulations and hours-of-service compliance. Computer proficiency (TMS, Excel, load boards, GPS tracking tools).
