Duke Health Lake Norman Neonatology Opportunity, Mooresville, NC - Live on the lake Duke Health Lake Norman Hospital is seeking Board Certified or Board Eligible neonatologists to jump-start its neonatal program in Mooresville, NC. This is an excellent opportunity to grow this clinical service as both a neonatology care provider and an ambassador for Duke Health programs at Lake Norman, while living on the lake and right next door to Charlotte! New hires will focus on quality patient care, partnering with Women’s Health Services and transitioning Duke Health Lake Norman Hospital’s nursery from its current Level 1 status towards a Level 2. Position Highlights Schedule : 7-on/7-off rotation: in-house days and on-call evenings Acuity : 32 weeks and up Call : Shared model with expectation of 1:3 as team grows Culture : Strong community and hospital support Technology : EPIC systemwide and Abridge AI Scribe available reduces time spent charting Role Responsibilities Provide assessment of patients by obtaining a comprehensive history. Examines patients to obtain objective physical data and supporting information through laboratory and imaging modalities. Formulate a differential diagnosis and develop a reasonable treatment plan to include pharmacologic and non‑pharmacologic interventions and making appropriate referrals as indicated. Maintain ongoing documentation of patient interventions, treatment plans, progress notes and any other patient interactions, to include telephone calls. Collaborate with nursing, support personnel and administration in matters affecting patient care.
