Associate Packaging Engineer

Responsibilities Responsible for packaging development for new product launches, reformulations and product modifications, including sourcing within target cost, engineering, development, testing, and shipping. Ensure all package testing and validation occurs according to protocol and specifications for primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging. Work closely with cross-functional partners including Marketing, Creative, Product Development and Operations to ensure success. Develop and maintain strong relationships with external suppliers, including packaging suppliers, CM’s and 3PL. Improve and optimize the quality and performance of existing core products; track packaging quality issues, determine root cause, implement CAPAs, and track in-market response. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Package Engineering or related engineering field. Minimum 2 years of experience in package development project work or equivalent, preferably in skincare, cosmetics, consumer goods or related field. Strong technical drawing review, evaluation, and approval skills. Excellent project management, analytical, interpersonal and communication skills. Work Environment This is a hybrid role where you are required to be in the office one day per week and one extra day per month. If the role requires you to be in the office to complete your job function, you are required to be in the office. The office is located in San Ramon, CA.
