Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)

Internal Medicine | Sarasota, FL

We are looking for a dependable, personable, and motivated Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our growing primary care practice in Sarasota.

We are looking for someone who enjoys working directly with patients, can work efficiently in a busy medical office, and takes pride in providing friendly and professional patient care.

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
• 1–3 years of medical office or clinical experience
• Spanish-speaking ability or working knowledge of Spanish preferred
• Phlebotomy/blood draw experience highly desired
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Comfortable working directly with patients of different ages and backgrounds
• Basic computer and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience
• Dependable, punctual, professional, and able to work well as part of a small team

• Room patients and obtain vital signs
• Review and update medications and basic medical history
• Assist providers during patient visits and procedures
• Perform EKGs and other basic in-office clinical testing
• Prepare examination rooms and maintain clinical supplies
• Assist with blood draws and specimen collection when qualified
• Coordinate laboratory orders and follow-up items
• Return patient calls and communicate provider instructions
• Assist with prescription refill requests and clinical documentation
• Help coordinate referrals, testing, and follow-up appointments
• Maintain accurate information in the EMR
• Assist Spanish-speaking patients when able
• Help ensure patients have a smooth and welcoming experience from arrival through checkout

The ideal candidate is someone who is comfortable taking initiative rather than waiting to be told what to do . We are a growing practice, so we value team members who are flexible, willing to help wherever needed, and genuinely care about the patient experience.

Experience in primary care, internal medicine, family medicine, geriatrics, or outpatient medicine is a plus.
