Painter Apprentice

Job Description

AtWork Personnel is seeking Painters to join a growing residential and commercial painting company serving Georgetown, TX and surrounding areas. We are looking for individuals who take pride in their work, have a positive attitude, and are eager to learn. Experienced painters are encouraged to apply, but motivated entry-level candidates looking to start a career in the painting trade are also welcome. This role offers an opportunity to develop valuable skills while working alongside a supportive and professional team.

Core Responsibilities

• Perform interior and exterior painting on residential and commercial properties
• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, patching, and priming as needed
• Apply paint, stain, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, and sprayers
• Paint walls, ceilings, doors, trim, baseboards, cabinets, and other surfaces
• Ensure clean lines, consistent coverage, and professional-quality finishes
• Protect surrounding areas with drop cloths, tape, plastic, and masking materials
• Assist with basic sheetrock repair, mud work, and texture matching as needed
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
• Follow company safety procedures and job site requirements
• Work collaboratively with team members to complete projects on time and to customer expectations

Required Qualifications

• Previous painting experience is preferred but not required
• Entry-level candidates with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn are encouraged to apply
• Ability to follow instructions and learn painting techniques and safety procedures
• Comfortable climbing ladders and working on scaffolding
• Ability to lift, carry, and move painting materials and equipment throughout the day
• Reliable transportation to and from job sites
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Dependable attendance and positive attitude

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional residential or commercial painting experience
• Experience with sheetrock repair, mud work, and texture matching
• Experience using paint sprayers and other painting equipment
• Knowledge of paint products, coatings, and application techniques
• Familiarity with surface preparation and finishing processes

Compensation & Schedule

• Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour (based on experience)
• Schedule: Monday - Friday
• Hours: 25 - 40 hours per week
• Location: Georgetown, TX and surrounding Austin-area job sites
