Travel Radiation Therapist

American Traveler seeks a Radiation Therapist for an outpatient radiation oncology center, requiring 2 years of experience and TrueBeam expertise.

Job Details

• Outpatient radiation oncology center setting,
• Day shift, 5x8 hours, Monday-Friday, 12:00 PM-8:30 PM,
• No weekend or on-call requirements,
• May float to a sister facility approximately 11.7 miles away,
• Treats adult outpatients for conditions including benign brain tumors, prostate cancer, Hodgkin's and non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, kidney cancer, and pancreatic cancer,
• Utilizes TrueBeam treatment units and Varian ARIA record & verify system,
• Performs external beam therapy, IMRT, and stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS),

Job Requirements

• ARRT (T) certification required,
• BLS certification (AHA) required,
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Radiation Therapist,
• Required experience with TrueBeam equipment,
• Experience working in a busy facility with ability to manage high patient workflow,
• License required if applicable,
• First-time travelers accepted with required experience,

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include CT simulation, treatment site simulation, and pretreatment imaging (CBCT/kV/mV),
• Grey or steel scrub color required,
• Maximum of 10 RTO days approved per 13-week contract, with blackout periods during peak facility census,
• No blocked scheduling requests permitted,
• Completion of facility-specific training modules required within the first week of assignment,
• Candidates previously employed by the health system or its affiliates may be subject to eligibility restrictions,
• Returning travelers who completed a full year on assignment may not be eligible for rebooking for at least one year,
• Local candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility may be considered
