Base Pay $90,000.00 - $97,000.00 / Year Employee Type Exempt Manage Others No Description Hours: Full-time; 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday. This is a hybrid position, providing both in-person and telehealth therapy services. Days in office is determined by client needs and requests. Can occasionally include evenings and weekends. No on-call duties. Status: Exempt Location: Therapy services are provided in person at our Renton location. Therapists may be required to travel and provide services at one of our satellite locations (Federal Way or Redmond) or co-located community sites. Reports to: Director of Clinical Services and/or Clinical Supervisor Position Summary: KCSARC therapists are experts in providing trauma-specific treatment for victims of sexual assault who span the ages of 6 through adulthood. They are trained in gold-standard, evidence-based cognitive behavioral treatment modalities. Training is provided in Cognitive Processing Therapy, Prolonged Exposure, and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. The type of psychotherapy offered at KCSARC is geared toward change with the goal of guiding clients towards recovery from the impact of trauma. While all interventions are collaborative and tailored to each client’s unique presentation and needs, these modalities are therapist-led, directive, and very different from general or supportive counseling approaches. These modalities are focused and time-limited, and most clients complete treatment in an average of 16 to 20 sessions. This position provides community-based mental health services to survivors of sexual abuse and assault and requires the ability to engage with complex emotional content while maintaining clinical effectiveness and professional boundaries. Trauma Therapists are exposed to clients’ memories of abuse and to their current struggles. They also witness clients’ resilience and recovery. KCSARC provides support to staff to help them manage the impact of secondary trauma. Therapists are supported in their role with weekly supervision as well as regular access to consultation with national experts. At KCSARC, we not only value diversity – we celebrate it. Essential Functions Clinical Therapy Conduct Clinical Assessments Maintain caseload of 20-25 clients, providing 20 hours/week of face-to-face client service Provide individual or group trauma-specific therapy to a designated number of children/adolescents and their non-offending family members Provide individual or group abuse-specific therapy to a designated number of adult victims Provide crisis intervention services to clients and/or family members Maintain and submit all required records in the Client Tracking System per policy Other duties as requested by the Clinical Supervisor, the Director of Clinical Services or the Chief Programs Officer Internal Relationships Actively participate in individual supervision Consult with other client services staff on specific cases as appropriate Participate in and attend clinical meetings such as group consultation and therapist meetings Attend agency meetings Teach sessions to new staff in CORE training as requested Provide cross-departmental training as requested Work collaboratively across departments Other duties as assigned External Relationships Maintain a collegial relationship with community professionals (CPS, CASA, teachers, etc.) Participate in professional community committees as needed Provide training to community groups as prioritized Participate in outreach activities as needed Requirements Work as an effective team member within the client services department Ability to build rapport quickly with a diverse population Excellent interpersonal skills Excellent written and oral communication skills Excellent judgement and decision-making skills Knowledge of sexual assault victimization and the healing process Ability to work independently as well as part of a team Ability to work with clients from different backgrounds Strong prioritization and time management skills Ability to work with individuals in high stress situations Alignment with KCSARC’s values of equity, inclusion and anti-racism Accept and practice the established Guiding Principles of KCSARC as a personal work guide Accept and practice all established policies and procedures Ability to interface with the impact of secondary trauma Ability to work with individuals in a high stress situation Ability to uphold confidentiality Travel to satellite and co-located offices may be required (Renton, Redmond, and Federal Way) Technical Functions Competency in Microsoft Office Suite Demonstrated ability to learn new programs and database systems Proficiency in working with multiple video platforms Demonstrated experience delivering clinical services via telehealth platforms, including maintaining client engagement, confidentiality, and therapeutic effectiveness in a virtual environment Minimum Experience Required Master’s degree plus 2 years clinical experience Must be licensed in Washington State Training and clinical experience in cognitive behavioral therapy Experience providing culturally responsive care to diverse populations Experience Preferred Experience working with sexual assault survivors Demonstrated fluency in Spanish, including the ability to communicate effectively in both written and oral forms Training and clinical experience with empirically supported therapeutic interventions for treating trauma Experience working with caregivers Summary Medical, vision and dental coverage (employer paid for employee) Short-term & long-term disability coverages available HSA, HRA, and FSA options (20) Paid Time Off (PTO) days per year, progressively increases Up to 10 hours of Wellness time per quarter 401(k) retirement options (up to 5% matching) #J-18808-Ljbffr
