Plasma Physicist for AI Model Evaluation

Role Overview
Join a pioneering AI lab as a plasma and fusion physics expert, where you will enhance scientific reasoning in cutting-edge models. This role involves authoring and reviewing complex problems in plasma physics and magnetic-confinement fusion, as well as evaluating the correctness and rigor of AI-generated solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Design expert-level problems in plasma physics and fusion, focusing on magnetic confinement, tokamak and stellarator design, magnetohydrodynamics (MHD), and gyrokinetics.
- Review problems authored by peers for clarity, genuine difficulty, and ground-truth correctness.
- Evaluate and compare AI model outputs, providing Accept / Revise / Reject verdicts along with detailed written rationale.
- PhD or equivalent research experience in plasma physics, fusion energy, nuclear engineering, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience with magnetic-confinement fusion (tokamak or stellarator), MHD, plasma transport, or gyrokinetic simulation.
- Strong scientific writing skills and meticulous attention to detail.
This is a remote position with an hourly employment type.
CompensationThe compensation for this role is $75 per hour.
