Litigation Legal Assistant

LHH is seeking an experienced Litigation Legal Assistant to support a dynamic legal team at a well-established firm in Downtown San Diego. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in complex litigation defense, and who thrives in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment.

Location: Downtown San Diego, CA

Pay Rate and Benefits: $95,000 to $110,000 annually, with a full benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and more.

Position Type: Full-time, Hybrid (4 Days Onsite/ 1 Day Remote)

Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-level administrative support to attorneys handling complex litigation defense matters.
• Draft, revise, and finalize legal documents such as pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and correspondence.
• Organize and maintain case files, records, and legal documentation.
• Track and manage litigation deadlines, including pre-trial schedules and court appearances.
• Coordinate meetings, depositions, and hearings.
• Handle court filings across federal, state, and appellate courts, including e-filing and physical submissions.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 4 years' experience as a litigation legal assistant in complex litigation defense.
• In-depth knowledge of filing procedures and rules for federal, state, and appellate courts.
• Proficiency in e-filing systems and calendaring litigation timelines.
• Familiarity with judicial forms and legal formatting requirements.
• Skilled in preparing tables of contents and tables of authorities.
• Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in legal documentation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Capable of working independently and collaboratively within a legal team.
