Position

We are currently searching for an experienced Asphalt Skilled Laborer to join our team of hardworking and dedicated employees.

Requirements

• Must be self-motivated, determined, and hard working
• 2 yrs. of experience as a Heavy Equipment Operator on several pieces of equipment; motor grader, asphalt paver, roller, dozer, excavator, backhoe, front-end loader
• Must have minimum of 1 yr. experience in construction
• Ability to work outdoors in extreme temperatures
• Must be able to take direction from Foreman and work with others on the crew
• High school diploma or GED
• Able to read and write
• Able to perform simple math equations
• Must pass a drug screen, background check, and have reliable transportation to and from work
• Must be able to come to work every day and put in a full days work

Job Duties

• Ensure the safety of other employees and the public; comply with all safety initiatives, protocols, and procedures
• Operate equipment proficiently based on instruction from Foreman
• Preparing utility pipe for crew, Cutting materials, Hauling materials, Hand grading, Checking string lines
• Performing routine inspections and preventative maintenance on all equipment
• Performing other duties on the job when not operating equipment
• Housekeeping at job site, Beginning of day set-up and end of day clean-up, etc.
• Follow directions and think through problems that arise
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and push or pull 75 pounds
• Follow all safety protocols
• Communicate with all involved on work that is needed and or being done
• Must be able to come to work every day and put in a full days work
