Director of Nursing (DON)
St. Paul, MN | Full-time

A skilled nursing and long-term care facility in the St. Paul area is seeking an experienced Director of Nursing to lead its nursing team and oversee clinical care. This is a senior leadership role for an RN ready to own quality of care, regulatory compliance, and staff development.

What you'll do:

• Direct and oversee all nursing operations, including RN, LPN, and CNA staff

• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, including CMS and Minnesota Department of Health requirements, and maintain survey readiness

• Lead recruitment, onboarding, training, scheduling, and performance management for nursing staff

• Develop, review, and enforce nursing policies, procedures, and resident care plans

• Manage the nursing budget, staffing levels, and PPD targets

• Drive quality assurance and performance improvement (QAPI) initiatives

• Partner with the Administrator, Medical Director, and interdisciplinary team

What we're looking for:

• Current, unencumbered RN license in Minnesota (BSN preferred)

• Prior nursing leadership experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care facility (DON or ADON experience strongly preferred)

• Working knowledge of federal and state long-term care regulations

• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

Compensation and benefits:

• $110,000 to $140,000 per year
