Senior Mechanical Engineer

Job Description:

Looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer with 10+ years' experience, 2+ years experience in an engineering lead role that includes business support for multi-disciplinary design, development, and delivery of products across the full development life cycle. The contract period is for 3-6 months. The Mechanical Engineer would work as an individual contributor together with the client team. The responsibilities would include:

• Writing equipment qualification requirements and completing the qualifying process.
• Development/Execution of test plans, analyze data, interpreting results, implement corrective actions with a focus on product quality, functional performance and reliability.
• Writing manufacturing procedures for pilot and production builds and supporting implementation of procedures on the production floor.
• Designing manufacturing test/assembly fixtures using SolidWorks.
• Support new product introduction design and development of complex electromechanical systems.
• Provide technical and thought leadership in customer meetings as a subject matter expert on mechanical design and fabrication processes.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering required, Master degree desired

• Proficiency using SolidWorks (a must have requirement)

• CAD data management experience using Windchill

• Proficient in Mechanism Design

• Experienced in High density electromechanical systems

• Experienced in DFX Principles

• Proficient in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing

• Proficient in Manufacturing Processes such as Sheet Metal, Machining/milling, Injection Molding, weldments, etc.

• Experience working with design teams in multiple geographical locations.

• Ability to meet position requirements with minimal direct supervision.
