Job Description
The Assembler performs complex assembly and testing of products in a Class 100 cleanroom environment, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to product and customer specifications. This role involves reviewing production data, implementing process improvements, and providing training and feedback to team members while supporting a stable operation with strong growth opportunities.
Responsibilities

• Perform complex assembly operations using a variety of hand and power tools, ensuring products meet all specifications and quality standards.
• Conduct assembly testing, adjustments, and quality checks throughout the build sequence to verify functionality and compliance.
• Review production data to identify areas of non-conformance and implement modifications as necessary to improve product quality and process efficiency.
• Prepare clear and accurate status reports to communicate production progress, issues, and improvements.
• Collaborate with team members to devise and develop modifications and improvements to equipment, processes, systems, and tooling.
• Ensure and verify that materials are handled and loaded onto production lines properly and in accordance with work instructions and schematics.
• Provide direction and training to team members on product and customer specifications, workmanship standards, and proper use of assembly tools.
• Audit all stages of the build sequence for completeness, consistency, and workmanship, and take corrective action when needed.
• Provide immediate feedback and on-the-job training when problems occur to prevent recurrence and maintain quality standards.
• Follow detailed work instructions, blueprints, and schematics to perform accurate assembly and measurement using tape measures and other tools.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in assembly work, including operation of a variety of hand and power tools.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work instructions accurately.
• Experience working with mechanical components and plastics in an assembly or production setting.
• Strong visual acuity and manual dexterity to perform precise assembly tasks and inspections.
• Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment when identifying issues and implementing improvements.
• Good verbal and written communication skills for reporting, documentation, and training purposes.
• Proficiency with MS Word and Excel for preparing status reports and tracking production data.
• Familiarity with MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems to support material handling and production planning.
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs as required by production activities.
• Comfort working with hand tools, power tools, tape measures, and other standard assembly equipment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience working in a cleanroom environment, particularly Class 100 or similar, is highly beneficial.
• Experience in auditing production processes for completeness, consistency, and workmanship.
• Experience providing training, coaching, or mentorship to team members in a manufacturing or assembly environment.
• Ability to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to equipment, processes, systems, and tooling.
• Strong attention to detail and quality-focused mindset in a fast-paced production setting.

Work Environment
This role is based in a Class 100 cleanroom environment that requires wearing a full bunny suit and safety toe shoes at all times while on the production floor. You will work a Monday through Thursday schedule from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., using hand and power tools, tape measures, and other standard assembly equipment. The facility emphasizes cleanliness, precision, and adherence to safety and quality protocols, with work involving regular movement, bending, and lifting in a structured, process-driven setting.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tualatin, OR.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
