Accounts Receivable Specialist

LHH is currently seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our client's team on a direct hire basis. Job Summary The Accounts Receivable Specialist will be responsible for managing and overseeing the accounts receivable process, including invoicing, collections, and account reconciliations. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Invoicing: Generate and send accurate invoices to clients in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with company policies and contractual agreements. Collections: Monitor outstanding receivables, follow up with clients regarding overdue payments, and negotiate payment plans as necessary. Account Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliations of customer accounts, including resolving discrepancies and reconciling payments with invoices. Payment Processing: Process incoming payments, apply them to the appropriate accounts, and maintain accurate records of all transactions. Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries, resolving billing issues, and maintaining positive relationships with clients. Reporting: Prepare and analyze accounts receivable reports, including aging reports and cash flow forecasts, to support financial planning and decision-making. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred; or equivalent work experience. Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts receivable or a similar accounting role. Strong knowledge of accounts receivable processes and principles. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and team members. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
