Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), NRP, AWHONN, Active TX RN License

Required skills & experience: Labor management and circulating during C-sections.

Unit Information:

• Unit: Labor & Delivery (L&D)
• Number of Beds: 18
• Number of Staff: 54
• Patient Ratios: 1:1 Pitocin and C-section deliveries; 2–3 recovery and antepartum patients
• Typical Procedures: Vaginal deliveries, C-sections, triage, iron infusions
• Equipment: GE fetal monitoring
• EMR: Meditech
• Shifts & Scheduling: Nights 3x12's, 7P–7A
• Night Shift Staffing: 1 Charge RN or CNC, 8–10 RNs, 1–2 OB Techs
• On-Call Requirements: 1–2 shifts per schedule
• Floating Requirements: May float to Mother/Baby if needed, or outside Women's Services as a resource only. Floating is currently uncommon due to unit volume.
