Infrastructure System Specialist

About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Infrastructure Systems Specialist to oversee the comprehensive management of data center operations and infrastructure systems. In this critical role, you will ensure the reliability, security, and performance of physical and virtual infrastructure while collaborating with the Managed Services Provider (MSP) for seamless operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Data Center Operations:

  • Manage rack space , air conditioning, cooling systems, and power supply, including UPS .
  • Oversee firefighting equipment and its integration with Building Management Systems (BMS) for real-time alerts.
  • Administer data center operations, ensuring physical security and access control.

• Server & Network Management:

  • Manage physical servers (hardware/software) and support virtual servers, operating systems, and hypervisors.
  • Perform cluster management , storage management , and backup/archiving activities.
  • Install and rack equipment while ensuring optimal passive network infrastructure and IDF room management.

• Disaster Recovery & Security:

  • Implement and maintain disaster recovery systems for business continuity.
  • Monitor and secure infrastructure to ensure compliance with physical and network security standards.

• System Administration:

  • Administer DNS , DHCP , and mail systems to ensure seamless communication and system integrity.
  • Provide database management, ensuring high availability and performance.

• Collaboration & Support:

  • Work with the Managed Services Provider (MSP) for escalations, support, and troubleshooting.

  • Prepare and update documentation for all infrastructure operations and processes.

Requirements

Qualifications & Skills

• Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., VMware, Microsoft, Cisco, or equivalent) are highly desirable.

• Technical Expertise:

  • 5+ years of Strong experience in managing data center operations , including cooling, power, and access control.
  • Proficiency in server management (physical and virtual) and hypervisors like VMware or Hyper-V.
  • Knowledge of network infrastructure , DNS/DHCP administration , and database management .
  • Familiarity with disaster recovery systems, backup solutions, and building management integrations.

• Problem-Solving:

  • Ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and implement effective solutions.

• Collaboration:

  • Strong communication skills for working with stakeholders, MSPs, and cross-functional teams.
