Merchandise and Stocking Associate

Base pay $17.00/hr - $24.00/hr The merchandising & stocking associate role supports Sam’s Club members by ensuring products are easy to find, stocked, and presented in a neat, member-ready environment. Depending on the shift, duties may include moving inventory in the backroom, unloading trucks, fulfilling club pick-up orders, stocking shelves, and assisting members. The role can be physically demanding, including frequent lifting and being on feet for extended periods. What you’ll do Provides member service by acknowledging the member and identifying needs; guiding and supporting members regarding self-service technology; assisting with purchasing decisions; locating merchandise; resolving issues; and promoting products and services. Maintains safety of the facility by conducting safety checks; following forklift spotting procedures; handling and disposing of hazardous materials as required; and reporting unsafe situations to management. Maintains the sales floor and merchandise presentation by zoning the area; stocking and organizing merchandise; setting up displays; removing damaged goods; pricing merchandise; identifying shrink and damages; and securing fragile or high-shrink items. Monitors product quality and rotation, code dating, recalls, and sanitation standards; ensures prominent display of promotional and seasonal merchandise. Completes work assignments by coordinating with managers, co-workers, customers, and partners; prioritizing tasks; tracking progress; and adapting to changes and feedback. Ensures club pick-up orders are filled and staged according to policy and procedures.
