Advanced Materials Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated Advanced Materials Specialist to manage and coordinate supply requisitions and inventory within a healthcare setting in the Southern Gulf Coast region. This role involves receiving, verifying, and distributing materials efficiently to support various departments.
Key Responsibilities- Process and fulfill supply requests from multiple departments, including managing Periodic Automatic Replacement (PAR) and Point of Issue (POI) replenishment systems.
- Perform courier duties as assigned to ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Receive, inspect, and shelve incoming shipments, verifying accuracy and noting any damages or shortages.
- Prepare procurement requests for necessary materials and supplies.
- Compare shipping notices with received or issued materials to confirm order accuracy.
- Collaborate directly with department staff to adjust PAR levels based on their needs.
- Notify management when supplies or special orders are required.
- Maintain all equipment used for transporting supplies to ensure safe and reliable operation.
- Restock inventory using proper rotation, organization, identification, and documentation practices.
- Keep all material storage areas clean, organized, and well-maintained.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by leadership.
Education High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training or certification in materials management is a plus. Experience Previous experience in materials handling, inventory control, or supply chain within a healthcare or related environment preferred. Requirements Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to communicate effectively with various departments. Ability to operate material transport equipment safely.
