This is an exciting time to join as we continue to experience strong growth, creating opportunities for employees to develop while helping transform the industry.The Forklift Driver plays a critical role in supporting the safe and efficient movement of materials, products, and inventory within our Organic Beef Manufacturing operations. This position is responsible for operating powered industrial equipment, loading and unloading materials, maintaining accurate product movement, and supporting warehouse and production activities while following all safety, quality, and operational procedures.Key Responsibilities:Safely drive a forklift; perform basic operations such as driving forward and backward, lifting, and lowering the boom, and maneuvering in tight areas without causing damage while following all safety regulations.Working with a racking system and loading and unloading pallets, pulling, and placing pallets on/off vertical product racking systems and trucks while maximizing storage by stacking vertically.Using an electronic Warehouse Management System to manage and control inventory.Maintain a safe and orderly storage area for productsMaintain cleanliness of assigned areaMaintain records of daily checklist (pre-trip inspection)Inspect all incoming products for damageSort inbound boxes by typeRestack, rewrap and repair pallets as needed with careful regard for the productManages the shipment and receipt of all products, materials, and supplies.Collaborates and communicates with logistics technicians, customer service representatives, service providers, and others involved in the shipment and receipt of products.Tracks, traces, and updates the status of incoming and outgoing shipments.Maintains a clean, neat, and member-ready area.Promptly unloads trucks and deliveries and sorts and stocks receivables.Maintains an accurate log sheet of daily moves, scanning inventory, and counting accurately.Engages with vendors and drivers with a positive attitude.Provides additional backup support for shipping and receiving departments.Scanning and sorting incoming and outgoing stockReceiving, stocking, and stackingPulling, packing, and loadingGood written and verbal communication skillsStrong sense of time organization and urgencyAdditional support and perform other duties as requested by management, within the scope and abilitiesSummary of Experience and Requirements:High school diploma or general education degree (GED)Ability to multitask and communicate with personnel of all levels and cultural backgrounds.Meat processing plant & High packaging line experienceOEE Software experience preferredStrong work ethic, communication skills in English, and ability to communicate clearly and concisely across departmentsAbility to maintain a safe work environment and follow safety rules, SOPs, and GMP guidelines set in placeSuperior standards of sanitation, cleanliness, and food safetyPossess a team-oriented approach to tasksAbility to work in a cold environment (27*F- 45*F)Understand and abide by all safety regulations as well as policies and procedures set forth by Verde FarmsAbility to pass a pre-employment drug testBilingual in Spanish (is a plus, not a requirement)Highly collaborative, perceptive, and operate with integrityWhy Verde Farms?Excellent medical, dental, and vision benefitsGenerous Paid Time Off (PTO) to support work-life balance401(k) retirement plan with company matchPositive, team-oriented culture that values employee growth and engagementWorking Conditions:Full-time, on-site role in Pedricktown, New JerseyPhysical requirements include standing, walking, and movement throughout production and warehouse areasOccasional lifting and prolonged computer useWork in cold or refrigerated environments as requiredAt Verde Farms, we operate with core principles promoting health, animal welfare, and environmental sustainability.
