Automotive Technician

Position Summary The Automotive Technician will learn and develop foundational skills in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles within our automotive service team. Under the guidance of experienced technicians, this role involves hands‑on learning across various automotive systems and services, routine inspections, vehicle assessments, and repair procedures. Technicians may interact with customers to explain repair procedures, answer inquiries, and provide exceptional service in a fast‑paced environment. Compensation Sign‑on bonus: $1,500 (for first‑time hires) Pay Range: $17.50 – $26.30 per hour (flat‑rate pay system based on individual productivity) Responsibilities Change oil and perform other scheduled maintenance services. Perform inspections of steering, suspension, and brake systems. Install batteries and check electrical systems. Perform tire maintenance. Install parts and perform road tests. Obtain or maintain A.S.E. certifications in at least one of A1–A8 within the first two years of employment. Assist in repair procedures and customer communication. Minimum Qualifications Ability to learn basic mechanical tasks. Valid automobile driver's license at all times and ability to drive customer and company vehicles. Basic understanding of general automotive maintenance & tire repair services, including oil changes, inspections, tire repair. Reading, writing, and math skills. Preferred Qualifications 2+ years of automotive repair experience. Completion of a vocational‑technical school program related to automotive repair or demonstrated skills via third‑party certifications/assessments.
