Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist for a teaching hospital, requiring 2+ years of Cath Lab experience and RCIS or ARRT certification.

Details

• Cardiac Catheterization Lab setting within a Magnet-designated teaching hospital
• 4x10 day shift schedule, 7:30am-6:00pm (Wednesday 7:00am-5:30pm)
• On-call requirement of approximately 4-6 days per month plus late team coverage, including up to 1 weekend per month and 1 weekday per week
• Floating within the hospital required; no floating to sister facilities
• Charting completed in EPIC

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab experience required
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• RCIS or ARRT certification required (either CVT/RCIS or RT/ARRT accepted)
• Washington State Radiology License required if applicable
• EPIC charting experience required
• Experience scrubbing and monitoring Cath procedures including PCI, PTCA, and support devices (IABP and Impella)
• Proficiency with left and right heart catheterization, cardiac stent placement, and rotablator atherectomy
• Experience with room circulator duties and maintaining a sterile field

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include accurate patient monitoring, room circulating, and scrubbing to maintain a sterile field during cardiac catheterization procedures
• Procedures supported include cardiac stent placement, IABP and Impella insertion/removal, PCI, PTCA, and rotablator atherectomy
• Additional skills such as temporary pacing wires, IVUS, CSI, Shockwave, FFR/IFR, and GE MacLab/CardioLab experience are valued
• Scrubs provided, any color accepted
• First-time travelers considered based on experience
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate
• RTO limited to 1 week maximum; facility closed on Thanksgiving, day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day
• Prior UW Medical Center staff must have 18 months of separation before returning as a traveler
• COVID vaccination and booster required with no exceptions
