Sanitation Technician

Pay: $21.65 per hour

Shift & Working Hours: 1 Shift; 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM; Weekends/Overtime/Holidays as needed.

In this role, you'll be a key member of our Land O'Lakes, Inc. manufacturing team, performing housekeeping to ensure our plants can add value and quality to the inputs and creation of final high-quality products. You'll be responsible for cleaning and continual upkeep of the buildings, facilities, and grounds. Join our team to become part of a member-owned co-op that is Rooted In Tomorrow.

This role is part of our Purina Animal Nutrition business who serves producers and animal owners throughout the United States. We innovate the nutrition products and practices that unlock the full potential of every animal for a healthier, more productive life.

Key Responsibilities:

• Complies with all safety processes and insists on safety practices of self and others
• Shows up on time, completes tasks by deadlines, and adapts to changes quickly
• Follows all good manufacturing practices, quality, production, training, and housekeeping standards as well of standard operating procedures on tasks
• Able to multi-task and keep up with demands in a fast-paced environment
• Other duties as assigned

Required Experience and Skills:

• Must be 18 years or older
• 1 year of work experience in any industry
• Basic computer and math skills
• Able to read, write, comprehend, follow verbal and written instructions
• Willingness to learn new skills, problem-solve and troubleshoot
• Strong collaboration, communication skills, and is always respectful
• Preferred Experience:
• 1+ year of manufacturing or cleaning work experience

Physical Requirements:

• Able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds in repetition for extended periods of time.
• Frequent movement including walking, standing, bending/stooping, turning, twisting, pushing, pulling, raising arms, lifting, climbing and other active movements.
• Performing duties working occasionally from heights (exceeding 50ft) while wearing personal protective equipment.
• Working in temperature zones that include cold and/or hot environments for extended periods which include areas where dust is present requiring the use of appropriate PPE (i.e. - dust masks).
• Ability to work in tight and/or confined areas.
