Registered Nurse - ICU

Job Summary We are seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced acute care environment. The RN will utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for critically ill patients while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. This role requires strong clinical judgment, leadership skills, and the ability to manage complex patient needs. Job Summary We are seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced acute care environment. The RN will utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for critically ill patients while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. This role requires strong clinical judgment, leadership skills, and the ability to manage complex patient needs. Key Responsibilities Provide direct patient care using the nursing process and established standards of care Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans Monitor and document patient condition and response to treatment Coordinate care with physicians and multidisciplinary teams Supervise and delegate care to LPNs, RNs (permit), and support staff Administer medications and manage critical care equipment (e.g., vents, A-lines) Ensure timely reassessment and adjust care plans as needed Support patient and family education, discharge planning, and psychosocial needs Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adherence to hospital policies Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff Additional Responsibilities Assist with staff orientation and serve as a clinical resource Take on charge nurse responsibilities as assigned Support staffing coverage across units when needed Participate in committees, education, and professional development Engage in research initiatives and continuous learning opportunities Qualifications 3–5 years of ICU experience in a Level I or II Trauma Center required Strong critical care skills including ventilators, tracheostomy care, CRRT, medication titration, and A-lines Excellent communication and teamwork skills Ability to manage high-acuity patients in a fast-paced environment Education Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required Required Certifications BLS (AHA) ACLS (AHA) PALS (AHA) TCAR (must obtain prior to start) AHA Stroke Certification Preferred Certifications CCRN CRRT TCRN Schedule Requirements 3 days per week Every other weekend required Join our team and make a difference in patients' lives.
