Sample Receiving Contractor

Sample receiving contractor duties include:

• Monitor TDOH-ENV login health emails for bottle orders and communication.
• Receive and log samples.
• Contact clients as necessary.
• Notify analysts of sample issues and requested turnaround times.
• Track and inventory supplies and report to the manager.
• Help edit and provide comment on job aids, SOPs, and other sample receiving informational paperwork.
• Wastewater:
• Accessioning of wastewater samples:
• Receive and open kits.
• Accession information from sample form.
• Second check logged information.
• Kit building and shipping of Wastewater and Well Water Program Kits:
• Preparation of kits.
• Making and printing shipping labels.
• Ensuring kits are placed in the warehouse for a timely shipment.
• Assist other areas at manager discretion:
• Assist with receiving, logging, and distributing samples.
• Dispose of samples.
• Enter quality control into Microsoft Excel.
• Enter data into the laboratory information management system (LIMS).
• Assist in preparation of samples before analysis.
• Assist in making sampling kits and shipping them to client.
• Assist in recording daily checks of ovens, refrigerators, hoods, etc.
• Assist with clerical duties.
