About the Position

Job Title: Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Interventional Radiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 10-Hour Days, 4 days per week Hours per Shift: Either 0700-1730 or 0730-1800 based on shift need, plus on-call shifts averaging 4-5 per month Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Interventional Radiology or ICU with IR experience License: Active RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Neuro Interventional Radiology experience, Level I Trauma experience Description: We are seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse. Candidates must possess neuro interventional radiology experience. Experience in a Level I trauma setting is required. The role requires passing a dysrhythmia exam prior to acceptance. Travel Teams must have their own vehicles and maintain specific appearance standards. All RNs will be expected to demonstrate competency in Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes during a skills lab. Travelers may be required to review lifts, restraints, and wound care policies specific to the facility. There are five angio rooms, two CT scanners, and support from IR, CT, Nuclear Medicine, and Ultrasound techs. RNs will not work in the neuro endovascular area. There may be a requirement for occasional shifts on Saturdays and holidays. The unit serves both outpatient and inpatient populations, including critical care and telemetry patients. Care setting is acute nursing. We are looking for candidates who are competent in maintaining a sterile field.
