And we’re reimagining how space can connect us, ensuring security and prosperity.Join us in shaping a new era in space and find a career that's built for you!The MK21A Reentry Vehicle (RV) Product Area Program Manager is fully responsible for cost, schedule, and technical performance associated with the design, build, test and delivery of a subset of products within the RV Integrated Product Team (IPT). The selected candidate will lead and integrate professionals from engineering, supply chain, contracts, finance, planning and operations to ensure performance to the program baseline.The information below reflects the standard job description for this position: Directs all phases of programs from inception through completion. Responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of company programs or subsystems of major programs. Participates in the negotiation of contract and contract changes. Coordinates the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract. Acts as primary customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance. Establishes design concepts, criteria and engineering efforts for product research, development, integration and test. Develops new business or expands the product line with the customer. Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program problems and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications. Directs the work of employees assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing and administrative areas.Basic QualificationsExperience developing and executing cost and schedule baselinesUnderstanding of Control Account Management (CAM) responsibilities, including Earned Value Management (EVM) and managing performance metrics.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including a demonstrated ability to interact effectively with staff, customers, management, and peersAbility to travel on an as-needed basisDesired SkillsDirect Control Account Manager (CAM) experiences, including Earned Value Management (EVM) and managing performance metricsExperience working with multiple functions simultaneously to execute a program, including Program Management, Engineering, Production, Supply Chain, Planning and FinanceProven experience in driving and implementing affordability and producibility changes, especially those directly impacting program performanceSubcontract Management experienceProduction and/or Procurement Operations experienceFamiliar with strategic missile development programs and Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center / ICBM CustomerExperience executing Design for “X” concepts, and performing DfX scorecard assessments - Leading the design and development culture to focus on Digital Engineering and Design for “X” to ensure efficient design and production without escapes, and enhanced communication across all functional disciplinesPay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $135700.00 - $251900.00At Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.
