Underwriting Team Leader

BayCoast Mortgage Company is seeking a dynamic, high-performing mortgage underwriting professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about building strong teams, driving results, and solving complex lending challenges. This is more than a traditional underwriting role. We are looking for an individual with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team, has a strong process improvement mindset, has a customer centric approach to balancing service and risk management, as well as someone with a proven ability to drive results wile fostering employee engagement.
Lead a High-Performing Team- Inspire, coach, and develop a talented team of underwriters.
- Create a culture centered on accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and exceptional service.
- Personally underwrite and approve residential mortgage loans while maintaining your own active pipeline.
- Handle sophisticated transactions including jumbo and complex lending scenarios.
- Monitor workflow, service levels, and productivity.
- Leadership role with visibility and impact across the organization.
