Job Duties Operate a yard goat (yard dog) with an automatic transmission Move 53 trailers in and out of dock doors Relocate trailers and containers throughout the yard Move approximately 30-50 trailers per shift Utilize an onboard computer system to manage trailer movements Perform frequent backing maneuvers, including blindside backing Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections Follow all yard safety procedures and customer protocols Exit equipment to chock trailer wheels during loading operations Verify trailers are clear before pulling away from dock doors Maintain a safe and productive pace throughout the shift Remain on-site within the yard during all operations Driving Requirements Minimum age of 22 At least 1 year of yard hostling experience within the past 3 years Strong backing skills, including blindside backing Ability to pass a customer interview and road test before placement Safety-focused with a strong understanding of yard procedures and protocols Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment Benefits Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k) plan and more Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Holiday Pay is provided for eligible Drivers Weekly Pay Staffmark Perkspot - discounts on almost anything you want to buy The base pay range listed reflects what we reasonably expect to offer for this role.
