This hybrid role can be based in any of our Ohio offices or in Detroit, Michigan, and offers the opportunity to work on critical infrastructure projects that protect water resources, strengthen communities, and advance sustainable, resilient solutions.As part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team, you’ll contribute to the planning, design, and delivery of complex electrical systems for water, wastewater, and industrial facilities—from concept through construction. This is an exciting opportunity for an engineer who enjoys technical depth, project collaboration, and making a tangible impact through essential infrastructure.Role accountabilities:In this role, you will:Plan, design, and coordinate electrical systems for water and wastewater facilities, including power distribution, motor control systems, VFDs, lighting, communications, fire alarm, and control systemsProduce high-quality electrical design deliverables such as one-line diagrams, control schematics, plans, specifications, and design calculations using Autodesk and Bentley platformsSupport project delivery by assisting with budgets, schedules, and coordination to ensure projects are executed successfully within scope, schedule, and budgetPerform power system studies and analyses using tools such as ETAP, SKM Power Tools, or similar software to support safe, reliable, and resilient system performanceProvide engineering support during construction through submittal and shop drawing reviews, RFI responses, field inspections, and collaboration with clients, contractors, and internal teamsAt Arcadis, you’ll be part of a purpose-driven organization where your technical expertise contributes directly to resilient water systems and healthier communities—today and for generations to come.Key Skills & Experience:The ideal candidate brings experience in industrial electrical design and power distribution, with a strong understanding of equipment layout and system integration. You are organized, self-directed, and able to manage multiple priorities while meeting project deadlines. Clear communication skills and the ability to collaborate across disciplines are essential.
