As an HVAC Technician, you will perform service and maintenance tasks on commercial and/or industrial HVAC equipment. Compensation aspects of the role are dependent upon knowledge, skills and experience. Principal duties and responsibilities include:/pulliPerform assigned HVAC maintenance and troubleshooting task safely in commercial and industrial settings./liliPerform preventative maintenance and repair of commercial HVAC equipment as needed./liliDiagnose causes of breakdowns, test parts with appropriate instruments, disassemble and assemble parts, and make necessary repairs to equipment and associated components./liliService, diagnose and troubleshoot various types of split systems, packaged rooftop, rooftop units, heat pumps, DX systems, pneumatic, electrical control systems, and other mechanical equipment./liliUse your HVAC skills and experience to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain medium to large sized complex heating and cooling systems and associated control systems, ranging from 3 tons to 1280 tons./liliComplete required electronic documentation daily on a handheld device/liliWork independently, and as part of a team, to complete assigned tasks within an allotted time frame./liliOperate company vehicle to complete service calls in a specified territory./liliPerform other related duties or special projects, as assigned./li/ulpEducation, training, licenses and/or certifications:/pulli3 or more years of experience repairing and troubleshooting commercial HVAC/R equipment preferred./liliEPA universal certification preferred./liliExperience with RTU, air handlers, split systems, chilled water, or boiler systems, preferred./liliOSHA 10 certification preferred./li/ulpAdditional requirements:/pulliMaintain a positive, cooperative, and teachable attitude./liliRequires mechanical aptitude, mathematical and English language skills./liliComplies and promotes company Safety Policy/liliInitiative; self-motivated (driven), self-starter./liliExcellent communication and customer services skills./liliAnalytical and problem-solving skills/liliProfessional demeanor and positive, caring attitude./liliMust be able to work independently and without supervision./liliAbility to stand, squat, bend, stoop and comfortably lift up to 50 lbs./liliProficiency with electrical and mechanical diagnostics/liliFamiliarity with blueprint, schematic, drawings, and other equipment layout materials/liliAbility to pass a full background screening and drug screening./liliAbility to pass MVR check./liliAbility to pass a physical ability test./liliAbility to travel, as needed, for projects./li/ulpBenefits:/pulli401K match/liliMedical/liliHSA/liliDental/liliVision/liliLong-term Disability/liliPTO/liliPaid Holidays/liliPet Insurance/liliEmployee Assistance Program/liliCompany Discount Program/li/ulpDisclaimer:/ppThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this job.
